What We Do

We’re like doctors for your brand
Social media is a double-edged sword. While you can reach millions globally with a single post, you are also constantly exposed to trolls, angry customers and scammers.
Many companies choose to ignore these threats, which can snowball into a major brand crisis if left unchecked. Don’t wait till #shithappens before you speak to us.
Case study on poor content execution
The ‘racist’ ad from China
Back in 2016, a Chinese laundry detergent went viral around the world for the wrong reasons. In the ad, a lady puts a packet of detergent into a black man’s mouth and shoves him into a washing machine. In the next scene, a fair-skinned Chinese man emerges, hinting to the ‘cleansing effect’ of said detergent.
In a largely mono-cultural country like China, no one saw anything wrong with this. But once it went out to the rest of the world, a global chorus of people made their feelings against the racism heard.
What your brand needs
Keep a pulse on social media
Use a social listening tool or service, and have someone constantly receiving alerts on email or through an app.
Create meaningful content
While many content creators go all out for the ‘gram, brands need to avoid going viral for the wrong reasons.
Respond proactively
Have a statement ready to quickly put out the spark of a crisis. Otherwise, others may add more fuel instead.
Case study on poor access controls
The case of the missing Facebook page owner
A Singaporean gym had recently changed hands. As part of the takeover, the previous owners were planning to give control of their Facebook account to the buyers.
Unfortunately, the original account was created by one of the co-founders, who had inadvertently created a Facebook Business Manager and assigned ownership of the page to it. (If none of what you just read makes sense, you really need to speak to us)
Long story short, no one could regain ownership of the Facebook page, and the new team had to create a new page and build their following from scratch.

Secure your passwords
We’ll start with the basics – quality passwords, 2FA etc, and work our way to advanced security password controls.
Frequently asked questions
WHY DO I NEED TO CARE ABOUT SOCIAL MEDIA RISKS?
Social media should rank high up in the list of risks your brand should worry about. First, it is public-facing and always-on. If there is a troll, angry customers or scammers out to get you, you will always be reacting to them on their terms.
We help you pre-emptively identify risk areas and mitigate them, so when the worst case strikes, you and your social media managers are prepared.
I LOST MY FACEBOOK PASSWORD, CAN YOU HELP ME?
Unfortunately, social media networks are notoriously hard to get in touch with, and our services are meant to help you avoid such circumstances. If you ever find yourself in this situation, chances are slim but let us try to help you nonetheless.
MY BOSSES THINK THAT THIS IS A WASTE OF MONEY. HOW CAN I PERSUADE THEM OTHERWISE?
Very often, brands only start getting serious about social media risk after a crisis, an account hack, or some senior manager sees a fake brand account somewhere on social media.
Much like buying insurance to prepare for an unplanned illness or accident (they’re never planned, are they?), mitigating social media risks will help you and your brand alleviate the pain and consequences of a mismanaged issue turned crisis. And it’s for the fraction of the price, as we will teach your team how to manage the risks by yourselves.
Use our Social Media Risk Calculator to find out your Risk Exposure Score.
